Odsonne Edouard will travel to London ahead of a medical at Crystal Palace. Celtic appear to have reached a £15m agreement with Palace for the sale of the French striker. The Selhurst Park side have been admirers of Edouard and Patrick Vieira saw him as their main attacking target in the transfer window.
The Telegraph’s John Percy has said that the player will undergo a medical tomorrow ahead of a move to The Premier League.

Edouard was signed in 2017 for £9m and has scored 89 goals for the club, impressing along the way in all competitions. However, Celtic were forced to accept the price from Palace as losing him on a free would have been extremely hard to take considering the interest that the club had in him last season. There had been some social media murmurs that the club received offers from Premier League clubs but Palace appeared to be the favourites to sign the Frenchman – now it looks as if Vieira has his man.
The move would mean that Edouard would reunite with one of his former colleagues at PSG’s Academy, Said Aïgoun. Aïgoun was recently appointed as Palace’s new Development Coach, joining up as part of Vieira’s coaching staff.
Fabrizio Romano says that Celtic will sell the player for ‘a bit less’ than €20m.

Celtic will replace Edouard with Greece internationalist Georgios Giakoumakis. The striker was the top scorer in the Netherlands last year and Celtic beat off stiff competition for the striker. Hopefully there will be significant add-ons to boost the price of Edouard to achieve a value that is more befitting of his value. Sky Sports are claiming that the deal is expected to be worth £15-20m and for a player in his final year, it looks as if it is a good deal for the club financially, even if it leaves us a bit short on time to find a replacement.
All the best, Odsonne.
a great player when in the mood but letting his employers the fans and especially himself down with his onfield perfomances in 20/21
