Celtic are nearing a deal for Filipe Jota from Benfica. The 22-year-old will undergo a medical tomorrow as he looks to complete a loan deal, which has an option to buy included in it. The Portuguese youngster starred at the U21 Euros back in 2019 and Benfica had to fight off interest from a number of clubs; however, he failed to kick on from that impressive showing meaning that Celtic could offer a route to reignite his career.
Respected journalist Stephen McGowan has taken to Twitter to confirm that the left winger will undergo his medical as he closes in on a move to join Celtic.

The 22-year-old spent last year on loan at La Liga side Real Valladolid and made 19 appearances, scoring once and assisting once but will look to bolster Postecoglou’s wide options as he looks to arrive in the coming days. It is expected that Georgious Giakoumakis will also arrive as Odsonne Edouard and Leigh Griffiths will likely head for the exit door.
