Mile Jedinak’s ‘huge club’ Ange Postecoglou answer to talkSPORT

Mile Jedinak has stated that while Ange Postecoglou clearly has the ability to manage in the English Premier League he reckons he’s already got a huge job at Celtic. The former Australia star worked with Ange at international level for the Socceroos and helped deliver the Asian Confederation Cup back in 2015. So the now retired utility man knows the Celtic manager very well indeed.

Speaking on talkSPORT with resident host Jim White and regular pundit Simon Jordan, Mile insisted that Postecoglou could handle in England no bother at all due to the size of the club he is currently managing in Celtic. As White quizzed on whether or not he could have made the move to Brighton and Hove Albion, Jedinak seemed rather bemused pointing out the scale and grandeur of Glasgow Celtic.

Whilst acknowledging the standard of player is “exponentially” higher on a regular basis in the Premier League, he caveats that by the truthful assertion of where Ange is at the moment. He even went as far to cite the club as an “institution” which is a truism if ever there was one.

It does beg the question however: if others outside the bubble of England can see this, why can’t they? For supposed football men they aren’t half daft at times.

Watch Mile Jedinak give an awesome answer to Jim White and Simon Jordan about Ange’s ability and the stature of the Hoops…

I'm a Garngad Bhoy through and through. My first ever Celtic game was a friendly against Italian side Parma at Celtic Park, in 2002. Currently a student of English Literature and Education at the University of Strathclyde for my sins. Favourite game would be a toss up between beating Manchester United with that Naka freekick, or the game against the Oldco when Hesselink scored in the dying seconds. I'm still convinced Cal Mac is wasted playing that far back.
