Does left-wing back Mitchel Frame deserve a start against Hearts?…
Mitchel Frame made quite an impression during his appearance from the bench against Feyenoord on Wednesday night, as predicted by James French on The Celtic Star. The young left back is highly regarded in the youth set up and showed his class and composure when making his first team bow against the Dutch Champions in the Champions League.
With doubts over both Alexandro Bernabei and Greg Taylor could young Mitchel be in with a chance of making his first start for the first team against Hearts at Celtic park on Saturday? I wouldn’t bet against it, and it wouldn’t be the worse idea in the world. He would give us a bit of freshness much like Kieran Tierney did when he first broke through.
Not that I’m comparing him to KT as that would be foolish to do so, but much like KT he plays with no fear and if he can handle an arena like the Champions League then he can handle the SPFL.
It’s all up to Brendan of course, but he’s proven before that he will pitch in youth if he thinks they are good enough and most importantly if they are ready to do so. I think young Mitchel ticks all the boxes, it would be good to see him handed a start against Hearts tomorrow afternoon.
Good to see young Mitchel Frame get his chance last night, and he didn’t disappoint. He looked bright and energetic. Hopefully see more of him in the upcoming games. pic.twitter.com/cdmcSCa9xT

“I said to him coming off that he’s shown elite levels of mentality to come into a Champions League match for your debut. Everything else should be easy for him now! He’s a great kid, he’s got a great future ahead of him but what a way to start.” Callum McGregor on Mitchel Frame pic.twitter.com/zJvHqq187g
