Celtic face Motherwell at Fir Park tomorrow evening in the penultimate fixture before the Qatar World Cup. The Scottish Champions enjoy a 7-point lead over nearest challengers Rangers, who lost to St Johnstone in Perth on Sunday. However, Ange will be looking to ensure there is no complacency from his side as they look to enter the break with a healthy lead at the top of the table.
The SFA have confirmed the refereeing appointments for the fixture with Willie Collum taking the whistle. The seasoned referee will be assisted by Dougie Potter and Craig Ferguson, with Alan Newlands employed as Fourth Official. Given the introduction of VAR, fans will look for the name of those selected to officiate from Clydesdale House.
This Wednesday, Celtic will be officiated from the VAR base by David Dickinson as John McCrossan assists. Dickinson was in the centre of another VAR drama at the weekend after penalising Alexandro Bernabei for a handball, which allowed Steven Fletcher the opportunity to score from the spot. Hopefully, the experience at the weekend will be salutary for Dickinson as he operates from behind the screen.

I don’t think it will be salutary in the sense that you mean. It will simply have illustrated the extent to which they can penalise Celtic without any repercussions. The silence from the Celtic Board is deafening.
