Neil Lennon on final shortlist for European job after ex-Celtic boss’ discussions with club

Neil Lennon is reportedly on the Olympiacos FC final shortlist following fruitful discussions with the renowned European club. The Irishman is looking to get back into the game following his departure from Cypriot club Omonia Nicosia last year.

According to Edinburgh Evening News, the former Celt is on the final shortlist for the job after his representatives spoke with the Greek club about the vacancy.

In Lennon’s first job following his departure from Celtic with Omonia Nicosia, Lennon won the Cyprus Cup as well as taking them to the Europa League. Olympiacos are desperate for success, currently sitting in 3rd place, and Lennon’s impressive trophy-haul show that he could be the man to help add to their trophy cabinet.

Lennon won ten titles with Celtic, eight Scottish Cups and three league cups in two spells as manager and as a player. He will always be a Celtic legend but it was clear that his time as manager was up. Lennon will be recognised for all that he has done for the club but it may take some time as the 2020/21 season was incredibly tough for everyone involved.
