It was evident that Celtic missed the presence of our skipper Callum McGregor in yesterday’s Glasgow Derby defeat to theRangers at Celtic Park…

Callum despite having led us to numerous honours through his ability and leadership is not exempt from being a regular target for the more over critical element within our support.
The skipper is a vital cog in our team. His goals, leadership, presence, organisation skills and overall talent contributes massively in the way our midfield ticks and how our team performs He is the heart in the spine of our side. Without him in the side, Celtic are nowhere near as good a team and that was proven beyond reasonable doubt yesterday afternoon.

Sandman’s comments wee spot on although unlike most supporters he was vey generous with his ratings scores.
Take away our captain and you get what we witnessed yesterday, a shambles of a showing. Without Callum’s presence we looked frail, disjointed and unmotivated in the middle of the park, we were overrun and if our skipper was present, I doubt very much that would’ve happened.
Folk harp on about how he was present at Ibrox back in January when we slumped to a 3-0 defeat, but he wasn’t alone that day, the entire side had a bad day at the office. Callum has performed more than he has let us down in big games, the proof is in his medal collection.

Let’s not take him for granted anymore, he adds so much to our team. We need him more than some would care to admit.
So many Celtic players have a good look in the mirror before they can move forward, with so many awful performances from a Celtic team in what was the worst performance in a Celtic jersey by so many of them, Schmeichel, Johnston, Carter-Vickers, Kuhn and Idah were all awful, the latter as Sandman pointed out showed have suffered the indignity of being a substituted sub such was his failure to impact proceedings in any meaningful way.

Why too did Anthony Ralston sit on the bench when Johnston was terrible? That failure is down to Brendan Rodgers and it actually led to the winning goal.
And if all these shocking showings is down to Callum McGregor being missing then is shows how important e is to this time and also how fragile some of our keys players are if things aren’t going their way.
Just an Ordinary Bhoy

You obviously didn’t see the last two games against the orcs. Cal Mac got double marked and had no real effect on the game.
We weren’t helped by the keystone cops of a defence.
Our two most expensive players were MIA and could’ve done more for the team by supporting them from the stands.
