North Curve Celtic respond to humbling gesture by Chilean side

North Curve Celtic have responded to the Chilean side CD Palestino revealing a new kit paying homage to Celtic. The club’s Ultras said that they were ‘humbled’ by the tribute that recognises the club’s connection with the Palestinian cause.

In a post on Tuesday, North Curve Celtic responded to the gesture by wishing CD Palestino the best for the upcoming season.

Thank you to CD Palestino for this humbling tribute to the Celtic support and our special affinity with Palestine.

The club, who play their football in the Primeria Division, have revealed a new third kit, which incorporates the famous Green and White Hoops. The Palestine Sports Club are, obviously, suffering greatly as a result of the devastating scenes in Gaza and have shown with this gesture that they recognise the Celtic fans for their support.

North Curve Celtic and the wider Celtic support have shown solidarity with the people of Palestine since the inception of the group and further back. The Green Brigade regularly have flown the Palestinian flag, incurring fines from UEFA to show their support. Now, it is clear that these gestures, however small, have been recognised.
