‘Nothing compares’, Scott Sinclair’s Glasgow Derby admission

CELTIC face Rangers next weekend in the first fixture for over eight months between the sides. Scott Sinclair, who scored four goals against Rangers in his first season in Scotland, reckons that the Glasgow Derby is the best that he has ever played in.

Speaking to Soccer AM, the Celtic Invincible said that ‘nothing compares’ to games versus Rangers, admitting that they are even better than European games.

“You get to play in the Champions League or in Europe in the Europa and it is one of the best times of my career.

“It was amazing. Once you are there, these are the games you look forward to the most.

“When you play in it, it is something else.

“I played in numerous derbies, but nothing compares to a Celtic and Rangers game.”

Sinclair left Celtic for Preston North End in January as a key player in the Treble Treble team. From signing from Aston Villa, Sinclair scored on his debut and the next four games after that – becoming the first player in 94 years to score five gaols in his first five games.

The game next weekend will be like no other with no fans in attendance. Celtic can go top with a win, knowing that they still have a game in hand. However, they may be without Odsonne Edouard – with James Forrest and Ryan Christie already out.
