“The Hoops took the lead with a superb drive from Andy Thom but Rangers equalised through Brian Laudrup before the break. A penalty from John Collins restored Celtic’s advantage but an Ally McCoist header and an own goal turned things in favour of the home side, only for Pierre van Hooijdonk to respond almost immediately as a dramatic match ended all square.” – SPFL Archives
The second came in 1997 and was perhaps the most significant as in the final knockings of the game, Celtic snatched an all important point.

The goal is one of the most important goals of that era in stopping Rangers win ten in a row and grabbing a point in injury time gave Win Jansen’s side a huge psychological boost. Negri scored in the second half but Stubbs popped up to rescue the game for Celtic.
“A cold but dry night watching Gascoigne foul away and dominate our midfield till he went too far and Rowbotham rightly sent him off. Therafter they sat in and frustrated, getting a goal on the break. It looked like it was going to be another jinxed game against Rangers, then Stubbs popped up right at the death. The temporary scaffolding stand at the west end was full and jumping especially when Stubbs’ goal went in.” – The Celtic Wiki
Finally, a comprehensive win over Alex McLeish’s Rangers took Gordon Strachan’s side 15 points clear at the top of the SPL.
