Dundee 2 Celtic 3 – 1982

Charlie Nicholas, Joe McGarvey and Tommy Burns sealed the points for Celtic after a tough work out by Dundee. It was a season whereby the Hoops would get very sick of Tayside.

Celtic 1 Neuchâtel Xamax 0 – 1991

Having been beaten 5-1 to the Swiss side, Celtic were given a golden opportunity to make the perfect start to clawing the four required goals back. However, Charlie Nicholas blazed the ball over the bar. Joe Miller scored early in the second half, by which point the game was gone for many who had braved the elements to watch the team.

Celtic 8 Stirling Albion 0 – 2001

A Celtic side with the likes of Larsson, Sutton, Petrov and Lambert out the starting XI demolished the Central side with a brace for John Hartson, four for Shaun Maloney and one each for Tebily and Healy. Marin O’Neill’s side were simply unstoppable versus the Third Division side.

Celtic 9 Aberdeen 0 – 2010

Stokes and Hooper hit a hat-trick each, Ledley and McCourt chipped in with one each and an own-goal compounded Mark McGhee’s misery. A totally ruthless display by Celtic.

Motherwell 1 Celtic 2 – 2011

The beginning of 18 consecutive wins that would see Rangers toppled by Hogmanay. This was the year that Celtic clinched the first of the eight in a row. Goals from the deadly Anthony Stokes and Gary Hooper sealed Celtic’s comeback and kickstarted a brilliant run of form.

Astra 1 Celtic 1 – 2014

A deflected volley from Stefan Johansen sealed Celtic’s qualification in Romania – as other results went Ronny Deila’s way.

Falkirk 0 Celtic 3 – 2005

Maloney, McGeady and Hartson. It was Hartson’s 100th goal for Celtic.
