PC Murdo MacLeod: Celtic Hero Plays Policeman In Hollywood Film

Former Celtic midfielder and assistant manager Murdo MacLeod has joined the acting world, as he was given a role in new Hollywood movie – ‘It’s Not Over’. The Celtic and Borussia Dortmund hero played the part of a policeman in the film, which also stars Celtic supporting actor Gianni Capaldi, Christopher Lambert and Polish actress Weronika Rosati.

MacLeod, who moved away from the world of football in 2012 when he starred in CBeebies show ‘My Story’, filmed his scenes for ‘It’s Not Over’ outside Avonbridge Hotel in Hamilton. He revealed that he is repeatedly being asked to feature in films as a policeman, but admitted it is all a bit of fun for him.

Murdo told the Daily Record: “I’m delighted to be in the film and I must look like a policeman cause I keep getting asked to be one. It’s a wee dabble a wee bit of fun.”

The Scottish star did express some reservations about the long schedule involved with acting though, adding: “At football you knew what time you were turning up at. If you were playing at 3pm you’d turn up to play for 3pm, but with movie work you turn up and it goes on all day.”
