Photo: Bauer announces Celtic departure

MORITZ BAUER has announced his departure from Celtic following the conclusion of his loan spell. The right-back signed on a season-long loan from EFL Championship side Stoke City but failed to make an impact in his time in Glasgow beyond being a competent squad player.

In a post on his Instagram account, Bauer thanked the club and wished them the best for the upcoming season.

The classy post referee to playing at Celtic Park as a ‘lifetime memory’ and Bauer leaves with a Premiership winners medal. He was competent and assured but fell behind Elhamed and Frimpong for a starting berth meaning that his game time was limited but even with that, he didn’t complain or sulk.

All the best for the future, Moritz.
