If you have been in or around the Merchant City on a match day, you will have come across Grace’s Irish Sports Bar along Candleriggs.
Normally a hive of activity, music and drinking, Grace’s has – like many businesses – had to temporarily shut its doors due to Coronavirus.
However, the owners have decided that they would use the boarded up windows to convey a message of support to the heroes on the frontlines, the NHS workers.
We were sad to see the venue boarded up yesterday
And so, we decided to remind everyone we are in this together by replacing the boards with something a bit more uplifting.
Stay home and help the NHS. It’s the only way we can save lives.

The message released by Grace’s is poignant and one that we need to adhere too. As soon as this is over and football is back, I will certainly be in there for something cold and refreshing.
