Photo: Jota revels in Benfica’s big Champions League win

Jota has revelled in his former club Benfica’s stunning Champions League win over Club Brugge. The Lisbon club won 5-1 over the Belgian outfit, managed by Scott Parker, to complete a stunning 7-1 aggregate win.

Celtic’s superstar from Portugal took to Instagram to toast the result that takes Benfica to the Quarter Finals of the UCL.

Celtic signed Jota from Benfica in a deal worth £6.5m as Ange Postecoglou struck gold. The 23-year-old has been terrific since arriving, initially on loan before turning permanent last summer.

The result was less than enjoyable for ex-Celts Dedryck Boyata and Jack Hendry, who play their football with Brugge. The Scotland Internationalist wasn’t in the team but Boyata watched on from the bench as an unused sub. Maybe both players would have improved the rearguard for Parker, who will likely find his job in jeopardy.
