Celtic winger Luis Palma has responded to criticism following the club’s win over Falkirk on Sunday. The 24-year-old was handed a rare start as he looked to take his opportunity against the Championship side in the League Cup Quarter Final.
Unfortunately, the Honduran winger was ineffective against an impressive Falkirk side. The player took to Instagram on Monday afternoon to cryptically acknowledge his shortcomings but would continue to work.
The post translates to: “Resilience. That’s why you’re going to get ahead in life, because despite any adversity, you find the positive side and you start working forward.”
The player appears to either be reacting to his poor display or his current lack of game time as Nicolas Kühn and Daizen Maeda continue to impress.
It is a strange situation that Palma finds himself in, having impressed for a period last season. It does not appear that he is in the reckoning for a starting role at Celtic but it is positive that the player is keen to show his resilience.
