Photo Of The Day: Celtic Fans At Peterborough

Today’s photo of the day is something of a random rewind as we trawled our archives and landed on an image of the Celtic support at the pre-season friendly against Peterborough United in July 2007.

The picture shows fans joining the Green Brigade, who were in their embryonic stages as an Ultras group. There was a lot of enthusiasm, banners and two sticks at games back then, as a new culture captured the imagination of the Celtic faithful.

On the park, Gordon Strachan’s Celtic won the game 2-1. Goals came from Scott McDonald and Jim O’Brien.
