Photo Of The Day: Fans Celebrate Big Win With Martin

Martin O’Neill has extraordinarily returned to Celtic as an interim manager for the second time this season. The Irishman will remain in the dugout until the end of the campaign and faces some big challenges to help this flailing Celtic side to win the league title, progress in Europe and lift the Scottish Cup.

There will be some big games along the way for the Celtic boss, but a man of some experience in the game – O’Neill will be more than used to that.

Today’s photo of the day rewinds to March 2004 when Celtic fans celebrate a 2-1 victory at Ibrox by unveiling a cardboard cut out of Martin O’Neill.

Goals on the afternoon came from Henrik Larsson and Alan Thompson and extended Celtic’s lead at the top of the table to 19 points, while it also meant that the Hoops had gone 30 games unbeaten.

How Martin must wish he had players of that calibre to work with today!
