Today’s photo of the day is a topical one as it depicts the Green Brigade’s unique ‘standing on the shoulders of giants’ tifo display. Indeed, the group has just recently announced that they plan to honour another duo of Celtic legends this weekend, with a display in tribute to John Fallon and John Clark.
This one, shown below, honoured William Patrick Maley – the club’s first and longest serving manager – and Jock Stein, who is the man that delivered Celtic’s greatest triumph back in 1967.
The Green Brigade are set to have two displays on show this weekend, one prior to the game and one during half time.
Let’s hope the action on the pitch is as colourful and captivating.
