Photo Of The Day: Jock Stein & Billy McNeill Lead The Celts Out From The Dressing Room

Today’s photo of the day depicts Jock Stein and Billy McNeill leading the teams out from the dressing room in Lisbon. It is a very rare photograph, which won’t have seen by many people, unless you have read Paul Cuddihy’s 50th Anniversary of Lisbon book. However, one Twitter user has since brought it to light and what a wonderful photograph it is!

The image caused quite a stir and one user quickly moved to colourise/enhance it, with stunning results:

It is quite incredible to think that the number of (largely) unseen photos from the 1967 European Cup Final total in the hundreds. If you have any such photographs, it would be fantastic to see them.
