Photo Of The Day: Lisbon Lions Full Stadium Display

Today’s photo of the day goes back to May 2017, when Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic completed an unbeaten league season with a 2-0 victory over Hearts. Goals that day came courtesy of Stuart Armstrong and Leigh Griffiths. However, the focus of this feature is the scenes before the match kicked off, when a full stadium display was on show, paying tribute to the Lisbon Lions becoming the first team from the UK to win the European Cup.

The atmosphere was terrific that afternoon as fans chanted the Heat of Lisbon repeatedly before kick off and then the stand exploded into life again with the same song in the 67th minute.
