Photo Of The Day: The Popular Celtic Away Kit 2002

Today’s photo of the day is a slightly unusual choice of image in that it shows a kit rather than an action shot from a match or the stands. The chosen photo is of Henrik Larsson’s 2002/03 yellow away shirt, which proved very popular with the fans.

Not only did the top look smart and have the unique feature of faint writing (The Celtic Football Club 1888) being printed across it, but it was also something of a lucky jersey given that it was worn when the Bhoys defeated Blackburn Rovers, Stuttgart and Celta Vigo on the road (the latter did end up in a 2-1 loss, but ultimately was a victory in the sense that Celtic qualified for the next round).
