Photo Of The Day: The Re-opening Of Paradise

Today’s photo of the day goes back to August 1995, when Celtic returned to Paradise for the first time since the ground was redeveloped.

The empty spaces behind each goal provided some supporters with an opportunity to view the match from an interesting vantage point at the Lisbon Lions Stand end of the ground! It is the image of those people watching from the rooftops of nearby houses, which is our chosen picture today.

Celtic drew the game against Newcastle United 1-1, goals coming from John Collins (penalty) and Les Ferdinand.

It was great to be home again.
