Photo Of The Day: Wim Jansen Celebrates The Double With His Greatest Ever Signing

Today’s photo of the day shows Wim Jansen celebrating with his greatest ever signing after winning the double.

The photo has been chosen for obvious reasons, with the tragic news that Wim has passed away today.

A likeable character, who was a legend in Dutch football, Wim will always have a special place in the history of Celtic Football Club. He arrived at Parkhead with one aim, and by ‘stopping the ten’ in his only season at the helm he achieved that. Adding League Cup silverware to the trophy room was also a remarkable success, given that Celtic had lost so many iconic players and were against a free spending Rangers at the time.

Thanks for everything Wim.

RIP
