“Is a “World Record” going to be paid for a Celtic jersey?” @jamiebhoy2009 asked himself on social media. Jamie is Celtic Twitter’s auctions expert and does a great job keeping the collectors and history buffs in our support updated on what’s happening Celtic related at the various auction houses.

“Is there going to be fierce bidding among collectors, or is it going to be just someone with pots of money that buys the shirt said to have been worn in a match by our greatest ever captain, Billy McNeill?”

This Celtic shirt is an absolute cracker, one that we’ve carried a few articles on recently too, have a look back. Jamie has just posted an update that the short was selling today for £9500, “not a world record but it is one for selling at auction,” he noted.
