Photos: Celtic head for Wales with Griffiths, Edouard and the Scotland Bhoys Back

Ange Postecoglou this afternoon takes his Celtic squad to Wales to prepare for the new season and in particular that Champions League qualifier against Danish side FC Midtjylland on 20 July.

The New Celtic manager this morning welcomed back to his squad the Scotland Bhoys who were on a break after Steve Clare’s side were eliminated from the European Championships at the Group stages. That means Callum McGregor, James Forrest, David Turnbull, Ryan Christie and Greg Taylor will all have had the chance to meet the new gaffer as they begin work for the pre-season matches that precede the Champions League showdown.

Postecoglou had many of his younger players in at Lennoxtown last week alongside vert squad members like Nir Bitton and the footage that came out of Lennoxtown via Celtic TV certainly got the juices flowing among the support.

The likes of Christie and Kris Ajer will be anxious to speak to Postecoglou as they seek to get their long sought-after transfers and with the Australian determined to retain only players that want to play for the club, these sales should proceed provided Celtic’s valuations are met.

No word on the mystery that is Olivier Ntcham. His football seems to be completely in limbo as things have gone very quiet from the Athens side of his proposed move and there has been no signings of him at Lennoxtown that we’re aware of.
