Picture Perfect – Ange Postecoglou is still making the media look foolish

Big Ange still making the media look like fools…

Ange Postecoglou was a breath of fresh air for our football club and the Scottish game as a whole. Yes he’s now gone to pastures new, but that doesn’t mean you can’t admire his work and in this case his ability to make the media look like fools from afar.

That was the case just the other day when an interviewer asked him if he was dreaming of lifting silverware. Ange’s response was both hilarious and clinical and more importantly it was the truth.

“Dreaming mate?” he said while using that cold stare of his. “I’ve got real pictures, quite a few” “I just look at the ones I have got. I’ve earned them, it’s not lucky”. A nice wee retrospective dig at the disrespectful Mick Beale there too, delicious.

You could just feel the arrogant English interviewer dying inside. Wonderful. It was the perfect response from big Ange. It’s good to see these arrogant English media and pundits get put in their place.

Ange has won trophies in Australia, Japan and of course five in Scotland in just two seasons. He’s even led his nation to a major trophy in the form of the Asian Cup. Presumably none of them count as they weren’t won in arrogant England.

It’s good to see the English being reminded that it’s not all about what you do in England. Big Ange may be gone, but he’s still delivering some home truths.

About Author

An ordinary everyday Celtic supporters hailing and still residing in Govan in the shadows of the enemy. I’m a season ticket holder. I Witnessed my first Celtic game in 1988 and have attended when I can ever since. Growing up in the 90s I witnessed Celtic at their lowest, and now appreciate the historic success we enjoy today. I enjoy writing about this wonderful football club and hopefully will continue to do so. I’ve always been a keen writer and initially started this a hobby. My ambition is to one day become as good an author as my fellow Celtic Star colleagues.
