Postecoglou delighted at new signings but says business still to be done

Ange Postecoglou has said that he is delighted at his new signings, James McCarthy and Joe Hart. The Australian manager has said that he is happy to have the English goalkeeper and Ireland midfielder in his squad, with Hart likely to come into the squad for the game tomorrow against FK Jablonec.

The 34-year-old has won two Premier Leagues and a number of individual awards; hopefully he can emulate the form of his pal Fraser Forster in Glasgow and become a fan favourite. McCarthy, meanwhile, is a Celtic supporter and has long-since hoped to pull on the Hoops, he will take longer to get up to speed but as soon as he is available, Celtic have an impressive player on their hands.

Postecoglou said that he will look to get a number more through the door in different areas as he looks to strengthen in both depth and quality. He admitted it was a “difficult market” but the club were “working hard” to get deals over the line.

Celtic need a right-back, another central defender, a winger and potentially another left-back and a striker if Odsonne Edouard departs. The signings will likely ramp up but we might see a number of players head for the exit in the coming weeks.
