Premier League manager admits Celtic are one of world’s biggest clubs

David Moyes has issued a brilliant retort to a question about whether Ange Postecoglou can cope with the pressures of managing in the Premier League. The teams are due to meet in Australia as part of pre-season preparations for the new Premier League season and ex-Celtic defender Moyes was full of praise for Celtic.

Speaking to Optus Sports, Moyes was asked about how Ange would cope with the Premier League and his answer was brilliant.

“He’ll never get more pressure than he did managing Celtic Football Club. Celtic Football Club are probably the third or fourth best-supported football club in the world, and if you manage Celtic Football Club, you’re used to pressure.

“So he’ll have no problem.”

Ange left Celtic after two successful seasons to take up the role as Head Coach at Tottenham Hotspur. The move was disappointing for Celtic fans after winning an incredible Treble last season but the Australian’s ambition was understandable considering that he has worked his entire career to be considered as an elite level coach. Celtic have replaced Ange with another elite level coach in the form of Brendan Rodgers, who will look to continue the success of Postecoglou’s reign.
