‘Put Collum down the divisions,’ Rangers flop

BAD LOSER Ryan Jack – well he does play for Rangers – reckons that Sunday’s referee should be demoted for not giving him a foul just outside the Celtic box when Jack and Celtic star Tom Rogic came together and the Celtic man emerged with the ball to begin a devastating counter attack move that lead to the only goal of the game.

Yesterday all sorts of people had their say on this incident – the ref watch guys on Sky Sports News reckons it was a foul alright but to CELTIC! Other people such as BBC Pundit Michael Stewart reckoned Jack should have got the call and others thought that there wasn’t a foul by either player and Callum was correct.

It was a marginal call by Callum unlike some of the other ones Jack fails to mention.

KICK! McGregor’s kick out at Ajer should have resulted in a red card and a penalty for Celtic.

JUMP! Lafferty should have been booked for diving when he cheated to get Scott Brown booked in the early stages.

STAMP! Lafferty should already have been on a card for stamping on Mikael Lustig.

TRIP! Scott Brown should have had a penalty after the Griffiths free kick at the edge of the Rangers penalty area broke to the Celtic captain, His legs were taken away from him just as he was about to pull the trigger.

Had Collum got all of those decisions correct – and there were others – then Jack wouldn’t be bemoaning the fact that none of his teammates could get a tackle in across 3/4 the length of the field in the build up to the well deserved Celtic winner.

“I felt that Rogic took my leg away when I was in the air and when I came down I went over on my ankle. You get some decisions, you don’t get some and that one was costly.

“It was tough to take because that was the goal that won the game but it’s the same as it always is. You have to deal with it.

“We’re the ones that lose the three points and we have to live with that, whereas if it is a free-kick, I don’t know if anything gets done about it, if referees get things wrong.

“I don’t know what is in place if referees do make mistakes.

These people really are incredible.

“I think that’s what should happen. If you’re making mistakes time and time again, why should you be refereeing top games?”

Jack revealed that he tried to speak to Collum on the park but without any success. It was the story of his Sunday.

“I said, ‘Willie, I thought that was a foul’, but you get nothing back. It’s ‘Go away, get out my face’, whatever.

“There’s nothing you can say. If you do try to approach to ask why, it’s a booking and another rash decision that’s going to be made on the pitch.

“It’s frustrating for players that you can’t actually approach a referee and ask for an explanation.
