According to a Turkish report, goalkeeper Altay Bayindir is wanted by Celtic as Joe Hart’s successor with one outlet claiming that the deal is done…

Bayindir is currently contracted to Manchester United after joining the Red Devils from Fenerbahçe last season. He has struggled for game time, having to fight for his place against Andre Onana, so it’s no surprise that the club may look to move him on. He is a Turkish international at 26 years old, having been capped for his national team eight times throughout his career.
Turkish news outlet Aksam is reporting that the deal is done, with the goalkeeper set to join on a four-year deal, but that seems to be overly speculative at the moment.

Considering he joined United for £4.3m, they would likely be looking for a decent bit of compensation for the transfer as well.
Links with multiple goalkeepers were always going to happen as soon as we knew that Joe Hart planned to retire. Brendan Rodgers has most certainly started his search for a new number one, but if anything is concrete, we’ll just have to wait and see.

We can rule some names out though – like Koen Casteels. The Belgian is now set to join Al Qadsiah in the Saudi Pro League after leaving Wolfsburg as a free agent. He was apparently a name that the Celts were keen on but it would appear we either haven’t moved fast enough or have been beaten to the finish line.

We’ve also been linked to goalkeepers like Caoimhin Kelleher consistently throughout the 23/24 season, but some more experienced names such as Alex McCarthy have also been thrown in the ring.

Turkish outlet @Aksam reporting Man Utd keeper Altay Bayındır is of interest to Celtic.
A couple of things seem off in their article:
– Article was posted ten days ago but not been picked up anywhere else.
– Article says news originates in the UK press, I’ve not saw anything. https://t.co/0x7ashwcdV pic.twitter.com/ARQR7LN493
