Retail Therapy: Revolting Bears sick of seeing the Hoops EVERYWHERE

BEARS are getting hot under the collar again. Just when they have calmed down from yesterday’s anger about a Celtic supporter going to the Celtic game at the weekend and sitting in among his fellow Celtic supporters, they are now getting rather upset about the Celtic retail operation which it seems , wherever they go in the world, is always there to torment them.

It all started in Livingston though…time for some Retail Therapy. Lie back on the couch and relax…

“Was up the Livingston this morning and I notice they have Shop and we don’t and also as you walk down to the Marks and Spencers in a display Cabinet is a Mannequin wearing the full Celtic Strip – it’s in quite a prominent position and very noticeable.

“Now I’m not asking for a shop at Glasgow Airport or anything but surely we must be able to find ways of making ourselves more visible again?

“Surely a pop up Shop or a short term lease somewhere in a Shopping Centre when the new strip is released wouldn’t be too hard to set up?”

“Despite us undoubtedly having more fans than them throughout the central belt, there seems to be an absolute plague of Celtic tops on show compared to ours.

“I realise that we’ve obviously had that scumbag Ashley to deal with, and that their supporters wear their strips absolutely everywhere, but it’s definitely something we need to get a grip of.

“Hopefully our marketing and promotion for next seasons tops is spot on and we see the streets flooded with Rangers tops next season.”

“I’m at Glasgow Airport at the moment, besides their store at the top of the escalators they also have prominence in the sports shop inside departures. We have nothing but a very long way to go…”

“Before shops in cities or towns again, I would be looking at these areas:
– Better range in the online store and better marketing
– Enhanced Ibrox shop experience
– Subsidised international sport shop presense (think about Samsung and Google paying for stands in tech shops
– Airport presence.”

“With the arrival of Steven Gerrard and the imminent launch of our 3 new kits of which are not part of a suffocating retail agreement, I sincerely hope the club are about to up their game considerably in this department. This is a chance for the club to make ammends for the last 4 or 5 years and really get our brand out there again as the pinnacle of Scottish football. It seems everywhere you go these days there is green and white being worn but that is probably more down to the fact there hasn’t been many Rangers tops about because of the boycott and you just notice it more.”

—–

“They’re so far ahead in most departments, we have a lot of off field stuff we should be ahead of them with, regardless of how we play on the field, but it won’t change unless the personnel we employ in these fields change.”

—–

“The Rangers megastore is really sh*t and anything but mega. I wish we would go back to the 80s where you could walk into the wee Copland Road shop and pick up anything, everything had a rangers brand on it. Last time i was in the Megastore (hate calling it that) i couldnt even get a football.”

—-

“It’s the same in Clydebank shopping centre. They even had never walk alone playing through the speakers in the shopping centre a couple of times.”

—-

“I’m at the weans football every weekend and there’s never any Rangers tops.

Hundreds of Celtic, Barca etc but no Rangers.”

—-

“If there’s an orange top that ll look after itself, no marketing or promotion needed, fingers and toes crossed.”

“It really annoys me seeing their merchandise all over the world – yet ours is nowhere to be seen beyond the megastore.

“The lack of our kit in London and home counties alone – while there are Celtic shirts in most outlets – has done my head in for far too long.”

—-

“One post on Instagram from Gerrard will get us a newer, bigger audience than they would manage with having a shop in every town in Scotland.”

—–

“Aye, a Rangers shop will succeed where Woolworths, Toys R Us, M&S, and what looks like soon to be Frasers and Debenhams have failed.”

Have you got one of these? Beautiful Sunday should be celebrated all summer long…
