Revealed – The Three Hateful Words that Broke the Minute’s Silence at Ibrox

The 700 Celtic supporters at Ibrox yesterday have had the finger pointed at them for breaking the minute of silence in memory of the Ibrox Disaster but that is NOT what happened. A reliable eye witness has this afternoon told The Celtic Star that the silence was broken by a Rangers supporter shouting three words, with the second and third word used being “The Pope” – you don’t need us to spell out the four letter first word for you.

Celtic supporters were observing the Minute of Silence remembering the victims of the Ibrox Disaster (something we do on The Celtic Star every year) as well as paying respects to Brazilian football legend Pele, Celtic legend Frank McGarvey and Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI when the silence was broken by a Rangers supporter using hate language against The Pope.

The barrage of abuse being hurled at Celtic supporters during and after the game, including by some in the mainstream media is just hateful, agenda driven bias that has got nothing to do with the truth.

Our source is extremely reliable  and anyone else in the Celtic end yesterday will also tell you the same thing.

It is now close to the time when Celtic have to say enough is enough and ban their away support from Celtic Park indefinitely. That will mean that no Celtic supporters will attend the games there but that is a price worth paying for the safety of the away support brave/daft enough to want to go.

We have already reported on the Celtic supporter who has been seriously injured after been hit by a Buckfast bottle thrown from the Broomloan Road Stand and this is NOT an isolated incident with supporters of many clubs reporting similar anti-social behaviour.

Ibrox is an unsafe environment and its safety certificate really should be questioned.

Earlier this year a Celtic employee had his head split open at the same ground and that is now being dealt with by the courts. The latest serious assault could have resulted in a fatality on a day when football fans in that stadium had more reason than most to reflect that no-one shouldn’t come home after watching a football match.

Enough is enough. Time to act, Celtic.

  1. The media love to make the Celtic fans the bad guy’s. I would prefer that we don’t take tickets from them for the bigotdome as that atmosphere is poisonous.

  2. The irony is off the scale from this bile infested inbred section of society.
So they can ( he / she / it ) stand in mock remembrance of the 66 who didn’t make it home from a football game, and then , in the same instance launch a projectile that could very easily have taken a life of a man , woman or child .
Not to mention the those around in close vicinity who knew the culprit , who close their eyes to such a deliberate heinous act
They know no shame . But I suppose that’s what the goats are for in darkened rooms . Absolute frauds !

    • the last Celtic away game at Ibrox Me and my brother were at was the disaster and I vowed I would never put my parents through that again. They are not football fans but animals and I have attended many games between the 2 clubs having watched The Quality Street Street reserves when my Ma was too concerned for our safety but I despair cause of the religious bigotry which I and my family have experienced from both sides over the years from both sides of the fence. Nothing has changed and never will

  3. our fans are part of the problem wanting to go to that toxic dump. Said when they changed the allocation we should have told them to stick their tickets up their rear end, take nothing but trophy’s off of them. Our fans and club need to wise up.
