Riga FC v Celtic – Team’s Up, Lennon goes 3-5-2, Bitton starts, Edouard returns

Neil Lennon has selected his side that must win in Latvia this evening or the club’s European season will be over. The stakes are high but Celtic should have more than enough to see off a Riga FC side that isn’t anywhere near the level of the Hoops. However in recent years we’ve seen clubs with much smaller resources and more modest talent in their squads eliminating Celtic from European competitions.

That has got to stop and this is a game these Celtic players simply must win. It looks like a 3-5-2 with Forrest and Taylor as the wing-backs. Nir Bitton is preferred in defence to his fellow countryman Elhamed in the absence of Christopher Jullien who didn’t travel due to his ongoing back problem.

Odsonne Edouard makes a welcome return after missing out against Livingston at the weekend and he’ll have Ryan Christie up alongside him. Kick-off is at 6pm Celtic Park time. COYBIG!

Bitton, Duffy, Ajer

Forrest, Ntcham, Brown, McGregor, Taylor

Christie, Edouard

Subs:

Bain, Ajeti, Klimala, Turnbull, Elyounoussi, Frimpong, Elhamed.
