Ross County v Celtic: team news, KO time and where to watch

Celtic will play Ross County this evening as Ange Postecoglou’s side prepare for the Premier Sports Cup Final. The Global Energy Stadium is the venue as Celtic targets all three points in a difficult environment with Malky Mackay’s side enjoying an upturn in form. Celtic battled to a 1-0 win against Motherwell at the weekend and will look to warm up for Sunday’s showpiece against Hibs with a win in Dingwall.

Team News

Celtic are short in terms of striking options with Kyogo, Albian Ajeti and Giorgos Giakoumakis still sidelined. Joey Dawson and Owen Moffat have been around the first team but neither were included on the bench at the weekend. The manager may think about introducing one of the pair given James Forrest also took his place on the list of injuries.

As a result of Forrest’s injury, Celtic are light in wide options. Jota remains sidelined and it is expected that he will not be fit until after the Cup Final. Karamoko Dembele is sidelined and Postecoglou may be forced to look at some of his other options in the B Team.

Tony Ralston came on at the weekend and Ange will decide whether or not to play the Scottish full-back or his colleague Josip Juranovic. Another question remains at left-back, Greg Taylor appears to be the manager’s favoured choice.

Predicted XI: Hart; Taylor, Carter-Vickers, Starfelt, Juranovic; McGregor, Bitton, Rogic; Johnston, Turnbull, Abada.

Kick-Off Time

The game will kick off at 7:45pm (Celtic Park time).

Where to Watch

Celtic’s travels to the Highlands will not be shown on TV after failing to be picked up but it will be shown by a PPV on Ross County TV. This will cost £15. The game will also be shown on Celtic TV for supporters outside the UK & Ireland.
