Salzburg v Celtic: Celtic’s Five Survivors from the 2014, 2-2 draw

JAMES FORREST mentioned the changes in the Red Bull Salzburg side since the last time we played them in European competition four years ago. You can read what the Celtic winger was saying HERE.

But if the Salzburg side has changed, what about the Celtic team?

The last time we played them at their ground was in the UEFA Cup on 18 September 2014, and you may recall that the score was a 2-2 draw.

The Celtic team that night was as follows (names in bold are obviously the players still at the club). Presumably James Forrest was injured…

Gordon
Izaguirre
van Dijk
Ambrose
Denayer
Brown
Johansen
McGregor
Scepovic
Commons
Wakaso

Substitutes

Bitton
Stokes
Berget
Zaluska
Tonev
Kayal
O’Connell

The Celtic goals were scored by debut bhoy Wakaso and the captain Scott Brown.

Here are the match highlights…
