Scotland are headed to Germany for UEFA Euro 2024

Scotland are headed to Germany next summer for the UEFA European Championships in 2024. Steve Clarke’s team sealed their Qualification after Spain beat Norway 1-0 in Oslo.

A goal from Gavi was enough to give Luis de La Fuenta’s team the win and qualify for the tournament themselves. However, the result also sent Scotland to the tournament as Norway now cannot catch the top two.

Celtic’s Callum McGregor has been the heartbeat of the Scotland team for a number of years often flying under the radar with his colleagues often claiming the headlines.

Scotland face France on Tuesday in a friendly as Clarke looks to pit his team against some top level opposition ahead of next summer. Thereafter, Scotland face Georgia and then Norway as they look to finish the group in an emphatic manner.

Credit to Clarke, the players and staff for securing their passage to the next phase with two games to spare.

There is an added incentive for other Celtic players in the squad, such as Tony Ralston and Greg Taylor, who will be keen to prove to the manager that they’re worthy of a place on the flight to Germany.
