Scotland’s Shame embarrass Steven Gerrard on his big day

STEVEN GERRARD was today appointed manager of Rangers after signing a 4 year deal to manage the Ibrox club.

The Ibrox club was at the centre of the news agenda as the Liverpool Under 18s coach drove up the M74 heading for Govan. The success starved Rangers supporters began gathering at the stadium which Charles Green acquired in 2012 from the Administrators Duff and Phelps after the old club failed in its attempt to get a CVA agreed.

Liquidation was inevitable but Green’s off the shelf company ‘Sevco’ was able to pick up some of the assets and start again in the fourth tier of Scottish football. Since then they have won a few minor league titles and a minor final against Peterhead – in a competition that the Premier sides don’t play in.

Misery followed misery as Celtic, under Brendan Rodgers has put an incredible 30 goals past the Ibrox side in their first two seasons in the Premiership, the lastest defeat came on Sunday in a 5-0 skelping at Celtic Park.

These supporters had a chance to show their enthusiasm and excitement that they had just brought a major name in world football to their club and in doing so they had put themselves at the centre of media attention.

Sky Sports, rather naively, sent in a roving reporters in amongst their supporters today and broadcast their comments live on air. This is Scotland’s Shame we are taking about and the inevitable happened…
