Scottish Cup Draw – Celtic v Aberdeen or the Rangers

Scottish Cup HOLDERS CELTIC will play either Aberdeen or the Rangers in the semi-final of the Scottish Cup at Hampden next month. The draw was made this evening at Firhill after the last of the quarter finals ties  of the weekend.

The draw as the teams came out of the hat is as follows:

Partick Thistle or Hearts v Inverness Caley Thistle

Aberdeen or the Rangers  v CELTIC

Partick Thistle and Hearts drew 1-1 at Firhill this evening and will have to do it all again next week in a replay at Tynecastle.

Aberdeen were held to a 1-1 draw against the Rangers at Pittodrie yesterday before Inverness Caley Thistle won their quarter final by 2-1 against Dundee Utd at Tannadice.

Celtic of course were the first side to make it through to Hampden after a fine 2-0 win against Hibs at Easter Road on Saturday evening. The two goals were scored by James Forrest and Scott Brown and both were outstanding efforts from the two Celts.

The two Semi-Finals will take place at Hampden on Saturday, 13 April and Sunday, 14 April and the Final is on Saturday, 25 May 2019.
