There’s no Tom Rogic today for Celtic in the Glasgow derby; but there are some wonderful inclusions in the Celtic side – including a first ever Celtic start for Croatian Bhoy Josip Juranovic.
Juranovic signed from Legia Warsaw this week in a £2.5million deal, and was expected to be slowly integrated into the Celtic side after Anthony Ralston’s superb form so far this season.
Yet, with a shoulder injury to Greg Taylor in the game against Alkmaar, and Adam Montgomery considered as too inexperienced to start at Ibrox, Juranovic has got the nod – thrown in right at the deep end.
Celtic fans were quick to point out that the last time Celtic started a right-back at left-back, he was run rings around. Hopefully that doesn’t happen again…
However, most were surprised at Tom Rogic’s removal from the first team – especially after his stellar form recently.
No Rogic 🥲

Play a new right-back at left-back for the first time in the most intense game in football, seems very Lennon of you

Watched them play against AZ on Thursday night, and while I had been drinking Kyrgyz cognac earlier in the night, it was clear that they improved when Rogic was replaced by Edouard.
Not surprised that Tom isn’t starting today. https://t.co/WqmsZ17oI8

Looking tidy but no starting Rogic on this form seems criminal https://t.co/mTdWSM3X3s

Christie and turnball both done absolutely nothing in the first half. CELTIC players first touch and ball control is atrocious, why isn’t this practiced in training.
