“Seize The Moment”, Christopher Jullien’s Defiant Social Media Post

Christopher Jullien has been linked with a move away from Celtic Park this summer, and that move very nearly materialised last week when the defender flew to Germany to undertake a medical at Schalke. The defender put the brakes on the deal though, failing to agree personal terms and returning to Glasgow in a dramatic U-turn.

The Frenchman failed to feature in any of Celtic’s League matches last year, despite claiming to be fit since Christmas. However, he seems unphased by the lack of first team action when it comes to his desire to remain at the club. Indeed, Jullien previously vowed to stay and battle for his place in side; though he did complain about the lack of first team football towards the tailed end of last season.

Today, Jullien uploaded a picture of himself to Instagram, at Celtic’s pre-season training camp in Austria. The picture was accompanied by the caption “Seize The Moment”.

It seems that the centre-half, who is reportedly among Celtic’s top earners, is doubling down on his vow to stay and fight for a place in the team. A fully fit Jullien could well be an asset to Ange Postecoglou’s squad, if he is still able to reach the level he was at prior to his injury two years ago.
