Brendan Rodgers should be trying to convince Cummings to remain at Parkhead. For far too long, that ‘pathway’ has been non-existent.
Meanwhile, Cummings has scored doubles in two of Celtic B’s UEFA Youth League games this campaign. On Tuesday, he netted two once more in Celtic B’s impressive 3-2 win over RB Leipzig at The City Stadium.

At this stage of Cummings career, the decision making regarding his contract, possibly wouldn’t have to much to do with Rodgers imo?
We created a position for Darra odea to create a pathway for our youngsters, to get to 1st team squad standard?
Hasn’t been to fruitful for ourselves in many years now, even though this homegrown quota is still causing ourselves problems with fulfilling the requirements for putting a 25man squad in place?
Weather Cummins wants to potentially follow the pathway set out for himself, remains a totally different matter altogether?
The bar is set at a very high standard currently for a lot of players to even get within our squad at present, even if there remains room in a far areas of the squad still, especially with the homegrown quota requirements?
But at least we are trying to finally address the situation as a club?
But plenty of work still required to bear fruit for ourselves, and maybe Cummings could be the breakthrough youngster, we have been waiting an eternity for?
Yet we will never know, if he follows suit of so many youngsters lately, who think they have a better chance elsewhere of forming a decent career for themselves?
Yet just how many have been successful in taking the different pathway, to the one that we can offer still?
