Sinclair Set for Championship Move

Scott Sinclair has left Celtic Dubai training camp as he nears a move to Preston North End. The Daily Record are reporting that the Englishman has flown back to the UK in an attempt to seal a move to the English Championship.

Sinclair, 30, has been a much maligned figure this season as he has struggled for game time; however, Alex Neil is ready to offer him an out in the form of the North West club.

Celtic appear keen to get a high-earner off the books and potentially free up some finances for incomings.

Sinclair will go down as a modern day hero at Celtic after his move from Aston Villa. The ex-Swansea attacker was signed on the day that Celtic travelled to Tynecastle and the English International scored as Brendan Rodgers’ side won 2-1. Sinclair was an integral part of Celtic’s Invincible season as well as the Treble Treble in the two years that followed.

In 167 appearances, Sinclair scored 62 goals as well as winning 9 trophies in his time in Glasgow. If he is to leave, Sinclair will leave with the best wishes of everyone at Celtic.
