Augsburg reportedly want £8m for the player and you’d imagine that Celtic have included add-ons in the offer to bump that figure up. The player wants to come and compete for silverware while trying his hand in the Champions League.
Engels has made 53 appearances for the Bundesliga side, scoring 3 goals and assisting on 9 occasions.
Celtic will look to add two midfielders in the coming days and it is hoped that Engels will be one of the players to complete a permanent move before the deadline at the weekend.
