Spanish Giants Join English Premier League Clubs In Bid To Sign Juranovic

Last week it was revealed that Josip Juranovic has been attracting interest from a number of English Premier League clubs, and is expected to depart Celtic this summer. The news was broken by one of Europe’s most respected transfer journalists Fabrizio Romano, who had previously stated that the player would have options to move on at the end of 2021/22 season.

In addition to that English based interest, it now appears that Spanish giants Atletico Madrid are set to join the race to sign the full back.

Sky Sports’ Lyall Thomas reported this revelation on his Twitter page this afternoon. It would certainly be disappointing for Celtic supporters to lose one of their top talents, but the more clubs interested in the transfer the higher the eventual fee is likely to be. It is in our interests to see a bidding war emerge, if the Hoops decide against retaining Juranovic’s services for next season.
