St Mirren confirm sale of 10k tickets as Celtic fans await update

St Mirren have confirmed that they have sold 10k tickets ahead of the Premier Sports Cup Final. The Paisley side beat Motherwell while Celtic beat Glasgow rivals Rangers in an enthralling meeting at Hampden.

In an update on Twitter, St Mirren confirmed the milestone in their ticket sales as they encouraged supporters that have not yet secured their tickets to get them while they can.

St Mirren were given 9,500 briefs initially with the potential to take an allocation up to 17,000 seats. The sales from the opposition directly impact Celtic fans as if they do not sell out then there’s a greater chance of success in the Celtic ballot.

Celtic confirmed earlier this month that the tickets would go on sale on November 24th. This was in order to await the confirmation of the club’s allocation to ease the process of the ballot amongst HCTS members.

The Scottish Champions travel to Paisley on Saturday evening to face Stephen Robinson’s Buddies in a dress rehearsal for the showpiece Final next month.
