Kevin Clancy has been given the whistle by the Scottish FA for the Premier Sports Cup Final at Hampden on Sunday afternoon where St Mirren will face Celtic in the 3.30pm kick-off.

Assisting the referee, who had an interesting Saturday evening down at Rugby Park, will be Calum Scott and Gordon Crawford. Don Robertson, who handled Celtic’s 2-1 defeat to Hearts on Sunday will be over at Clydesdale House taking charge of VAR duties and he will be assisted by Matthew MacDermid.

Celtic go into the final having not left Glasgow in the previous rounds and will also have a third manager in the dugout in the campaign to defend the trophy won last December in a dramatic penalty shoot-out victory over theRangers after 2024 final ended 3-3 AET.

Brendan Rodgers led Celtic comfortably through the early rounds with a 4-1 win over Falkirk at Celtic Park, followed by a quarter final victory – this time it was a 4-0 triumph – over Partick Thistle at Firhill.

Then Martin O’Neill was in interim charge of the Hoops as Celtic once again ended theRangers hopes of getting their hands on the trophy with a 3-1 (AET) semi-final victory to set up Wilfried Nancy for his first visit to the national stadium with a chance to lift his first silverware as the new Celtic manager.
