Suduva v Celtic: ‘No team comes here and gets an easy game,’ Ivan Kardum

SUDUVA goalkeeper Ivan Kardum hopefully will be the busiest player on the park on Thursday night when Celtic set about repairing some of the self inflicted damage from the AEK Athens tie against the Lithuanian side.

Kardum is well aware of the size of the task facing his teammates on Thursday (kick-off is 8pm local time and that’s a 6pm kick-off for those in British isles).

“The name Celtic speaks for itself,” the Suduva goalie noted.

“They are a very big club who always win the league and play in the Champions League every year. They have millions of fans around the world, not just in the UK.

“It will be a wonderful experience for me and the club. It means a lot to the city and our fans.

“I certainly think we have a chance. During my time at the club, we have proved that no team comes here and gets an easy game.

“We’ve beaten Sion, APOEL and Shakhtyor Soligorsk and we have also had good performances against Ludogorets Razgrad and Midtjylland. We have proved we can fight against the bigger teams.

“We will do our best and we are hopeful we can get a good result against Celtic too.”

You can pay to watch the game on Premier Sports 1 on Thursday evening, if you are in the UK. Celtic TV are showing the game live but viewers in the UK and Ireland plus Lithuania are excluded.

Ironically enough, BT Sport are showing all the Play-off action from the various games in the Champions League Play-offs, so if you want to watch Videoton v AEK Athens- in an alternative world Celtic v Malmo – you can, that game kicks off at 8pm this evening.
