Sutton says Celtic must make decision on manager or face consequences

Chris Sutton has said that Celtic will need to make a decision regarding the future of Neil Lennon and his management team or face an exodus on the season ticket front. Today’s statement from Ian Bankier said the club wouldn’t rush into making any decisions but as the ex-Celtic striker points out, season ticket renewals are nearing but fans are feeling apathy towards the current situation both on and off the park.

Celtic sit 18 points behind Rangers, with one game in hand. The European performances this season  have been nothing short of disgraceful with an early exit from the Europa League, the League Cup exit to Ross County at home and constantly dropping points through stupid mistakes in defence. Perhaps the most catastrophic decision this season was to travel to Dubai for a ‘warm weather training camp’. This resulted in one player catching the virus and thirteen players forcing to isolate meaning two games at home resulted in dropped points. Celtic dropped twelve points in January, meaning that if the trip to Dubai had been shelved, there is a good chance the gap could’ve been much more respectable at this stage.

  1. Will someone please tell Sutton to give his gums a rest and shut the **** up. You’re like a broken record you ******* turncoat. You’re comments are not helping the team and the repetition got boring a long time ago. No loyalty to the team that paid you a lot of money and now you are rubbishing everything about Celtic. I agree that Lawell and Hammond need to go, and some of the players need to start earning the vast sums of money they are paid and show some loyalty and commitment to the team that developed them and put them in the position where richer clubs are now showing interest, but your personal vendetta against Neil Lennon is disgraceful. Is Neil Lennon to blame for the lack of foresight and or investment by Lawell in order to counteract the issue of several big players having their “heads turned”? Is it Neil Lennon’s fault that we keep losing out on quality signings for the sake of a few quid and most of what Hammond has brought in has not been up to the mark? If they offered to spend money on big signings do you think Neil would have said “no”? Instead Lawell’s penny pinching tactics have caused us to miss out (he only cares about his bonus)and Hammond’s recruitment has been terrible (except for Turnbull which was a no brainer staring us in the face and Sorro…well done.) Neil Lennon is a fantastic manager and he has the track record to prove it…prior to this season which quickly turned into a witch hunt which I think has been completely over the top. I wanted to see Celtic win the10 as much as any Celtic supporter but I knew before a ball was kicked that the powers that be would do everything in their power to stop it. The idiots that threw bottles and bricks at the team bus and hacks like you bad mouthing everything that you can think of day after day has only helped to put us in the position we are in now. Talk about playing into their hands! Neil Lennon’s hands are tied. I’m sure he would have warned the board. I’m sure he would have wanted us to spend a few extra quid to ensure we signed more quality players like McGinn, but he has to come out and show solidarity with the board because as soon as he doesn’t then he would have to leave the job he loves, the club he loves. It doesn’t take a genius to work that one out, but it’s always the idiots like you that shout the loudest. What is that rag you work for paying you? I bet it’s peanuts compared with what Celtic paid you. Well you know what they say “If you pay peanuts then you get Kris Boyd”… Only he has talked LESS trash about Celtic…but that’s the level you operate on you hack. Away back to Hingerland ya *****… you’ll fit in much better there. Vote Boris..vote Brexit… Rule Britannia and the “crumbling” British Empire built on war crimes and ethnic cleansing…canny wait for independence. Perhaps then we won’t have to listen so much to Hinglishmen talking ******** and living in the past. 1966 was a long time ago and like I said at the start of my rant…..it, like you got boring a long time ago. Change the record and go and get a job with Sevco then you and Kris Boyd can talk ***** all day long until your heart’s content. Traitor!!!
