Swap deal – Italian journalist suggests Celtic keen on Laxalt trade

ANTONIO VITIELLO has suggested that Celtic are open to conducting a trade deal with AC Milan for Diego Laxalt. Laxalt has been a standout for Celtic in what has been an underwhelming period for the 10IAR chasers. The left-back popped up to seal a 2-2 draw for Celtic at Easter Road and now Vitiello is claiming that a swap deal involving Kris Ajer could happen this summer.

The Uruguayan joined on deadline day from Celtic’s Europa League Group H rivals AC Milan and immediately started the 2-0 home defeat to Rangers. His performances have given some much needed pace and steel on the left hand side, something that has been missing since Kieran Tierney left for Arsenal.

SempreMilan are also reporting that Paolo Maldini is confident in agreeing a deal with Celtic in some capacity. The report continues that the Milan chief will use the December 3 meeting between the sides in Group H to sound out his Celtic counterparts about trading the left back for the central defender.
